Hello All,
Here are 2 responses I wrote to Tish. I tried not to bash her since
she probably wouldn't read it, but it was hard, really hard.

Tish,
In your article you state, "After nine months of abstaining from
alcohol and cutting down on caffeine, tuna fish, peanuts, soft cheese
and rare meat, I want to eat or drink something without a moment’s
thought about what it might do to the baby." Make sure you don't
look at the ingredients in the formula, you will wonder why you even
made one change in your life for the gestation. Seriously, what is
the point? Why are you having a baby? Parakeets require a lot less
sacrifice and care.
For the first time in your life you will have something you cannot
return, replace or get rid of. Unlike a car, a pair of shoes or even
a husband. If you are lucky, babies/toddlers/kids/ten year olds and
teens are yours for the long haul. Breastfeeding or not, you WILL
have a fabulous ride. You may NOT want to step in front of the bus
for your baby EVERY day, but most days you will! Do what you can live
with forever, pick your battles carefully and be prepared to
experience true love for the FIRST time in your life.
Even though you have told the world of your intentions to not
breastfeed, you can still change your mind.. maybe once? 24hrs? 3
days?. It is not a decision you have to make now.
You make some great arguments in your article, only problem is your
baby isn't here yet...

AND I wrote this in the morning:
Tish,
I am going to make a cake.. a beautiful 4 layer cake with red, ripe,
delicious strawberries between each layer. It will be beautiful. A
row of gorgeous Forget-me-not flowers, all woven together, gently
placed around the bottom. It will be perfect! I will pour my heart
and soul into it, I will use only the finest ingredients, organic
eggs, organic milk, organically grown flour and sugar. I am going to
make it for some one I love dearly. I am not going to ice it or frost
it, but it will still be a beautiful, delicious, gorgeous cake.
