Dear Listmates,
We had an Avent sales rep demonstrate the pump at our Breastfeeding Task
Force Meeting on Friday. Here's my feedback on it.
There is a bit of a learning curve to use it to get it to "remember your
last pumping rhythm." It is fairly quiet. It boasts being able to single pump
without having to disconnect the tubing when it has been used as a double
pump, with no loss of suction since it has two separate compartments. It is a
single user pump per FDA and company specs.
It comes with a nice carrying bag, but no battery backup, although a car
adapter is available. I think that it is somewhat overpriced for the
technology. I think a lower priced double personal use pump, such as P-I-S, or Pu-ly
Y--rs is a better value.
I do not personally know anyone who has used it yet.
