Tough case! I understand your frustration. It's very difficult to overcome
"mom" and her influence. The daughter has been listening her for her whole
life and will probably continue to do so. I've occassionally had some
success by suggesting that she "just try it" but it's usually short
lived....til she gets home - with mom - and the baby cries after a
breastfeeding. You are right though - positive breastfeeding support makes
a huge difference. My own daughter delivered at 18, she's now 19 and Baby
Madalynn is 7 months and has never had a bottle or formula, and my daughter
has no plans to change that. Good Luck!
