Dear Mead Johnson,
Your "generous " offer really doesn't resound in anyway but contributing to
future troubles for Mothers and Babies in the evacuation centers. You need
to send limited formula for older babies, ENCOURAGE LACTATION OR RELACTATION
IN AN AREA WHERE SANITATION IS TOTALLY ABYSMAL. (yes I am yelling, are you
listening???)
You might consider sending large supplies of bottled water for lactating
Mothers and lots of money to help these people to relocate and get the things
they need like diapers and school
supplies.
You must realize that the best source of infant food and best change for
survival lies in Mothers breastfeeding in times of disaster. Sterile and
providing a immunological protection that unfortunately your product or the
competition's cannot.
Sincerely,
Leanne Jewell RNC, IBCLC, LCCE, FACCE
