My standard signature line on letters was always
Diane Wiessinger, MS, IBCLC
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
I changed it to
Diane Wiessinger, MS, IBCLC, RLC
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
But I'm wondering now if we do ourselves a better service with simply
Diane Wiessinger, MS, RLC
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
It avoids a string of initials that no one has ever heard of, still gets the definition across in actual words, and the "R" probably connects with more people as meaning "Registered" than those 4 letters that so often get confused with course-created initials. What do others do?
Diane Wiessinger, MS, RLC (trying it on for size) in Ithaca, NY USA
