It seems that one spam monitoring system, SORBS.net, has labeled Lactnet as
spam, and if the organization you work for relies on SORBS' opinion for what
is allowable e-mail, you will no longer receive your Lactnet digests or
individual posts.

I would urge any of you in this situation to make a loud noise to the IT
people where you work, and tell them that Lactnet is something you must
actively subscribe to, that e-mail addresses can not be recovered from the
archives so spammers can't target subscribers that way either, and that it
is run by volunteers, hosted without charge by our estimable listserv. If
they claim there is nothing they can do, then make a louder noise. You
might also want to contact SORBS.net and tell them that we can't pay a
$50.00 penalty fine to get ourselves declared non-spammers, and that it is
not reasonable for them to have classified our posts as spam.

I am sending this to the list so that it will appear in the archives. We
have had a rash of problems with this in the last couple of days, and that
usually means there are more in the tubes.
