Hello everyone,
I hope you are all behaving while I am no mail. At the moment I am at Lisa
Amir's computer with her beside me, sending my first ever message to Lactnet
from the Southern Hemisphere. Have heard lots of talks about breastfeeding at
the International Confederation of Midwives congress in Brisbane, and visited
with several of you while staying with Denise Fisher (highly recommended
lodgings :)) and am now in Melbourne for the next couple of days before
returning to Norwegian summer which is not all that different from Australian
winter :(
Looking forward to catching up on things when I come home, and thinking of
Lactnet fondly. Tried to watch Karleen on TV but was at a place where that
channel was not received... what a relief that it seems to have been a good
broadcast.
Obviously I need to spend at least a whole sabbatical year here to benefit fully
from the very active research community in this country. Unfortunately I didn't
realize that before coming here and so have only booked a trip for a couple of
weeks which is all too rapidly drawing to a close.
cheers, and hi from Lisa,
Rachel Myr
writing from St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia (!)
