On one occasion the mother put heat on it - actually placed hot water in a
small tupperware bowl inside her bra. After a few days, while trying to
examine the lump in the mirror, she accidentally "popped" it like a pimple
by pressing gently with fingers on either side. She kept it clean and it
healed quickly.
Another mother put Polysporin on it several times daily and it resolved in a
few days.
These lumps were small - perhaps pea size or slightly larger, did not become
larger, nor more uncomfortable. If they had, I'm sure they would had sought
medical attention.
