For years, IBCLCs have gone to workshops or presentations by pump
manufacturers and very few of us have thought about how this usually
involves advertising. A business is in business to stay in business which
doesn't mean they are bad to advertise.
What galls me is how naive many IBCLCs are to attend these presentations and
to think the company is giving them this gift of "information" just because
they love us. And it isn't just one pump manufacturer doing this. The other
thing that galls me is how too many IBCLCs promote one pump company only
because of a blind preference based on what looks to me like successful
advertising by the company.
