Carrying this query one notch down the ladder:
1. Were are the Master's programs, or how do you create a Master's program? (same as above?)
2. What do you do with it once you have it? 
Are hospitals impressed (i.e. promote / pay you more?) Or is it primarily a stepping-stone to the PhD? At my age, I'm not sure I have that much energy or money, and certainly no hope of recovering the expense of a PhD.
