Yes, sometimes sounding militant works. Just like decades of saying breast milk is best has made small strides, while if the dangers of formula had been the process years ago, then probably the US would be a breastfeeding society. We must learn from our mistakes. Tobacco used to be king too and until there was major activists against, nothing happened. My specific point is that Discovery Heath has such great health information on other subjects, especially breast cancer. Those standards should be across the board for maternal-child health too. And emails to the editor do make a difference. Look at what happened to the public television money recently.
