i worked at a city hospital in east New orleans. it was largely african
american moms and many medicaid recipients (low income/government health
care). don't know the percentages of these categories. i calculated bf rates
each month. we had about 120-140 deliveries per month and our bf rates were
about 46-50 percent over the last 3 years. too bad i don't have access to
those records - all flooded.
