I honestly don't know about the testosterone, but can't see why she can't
at least attempt to breastfeed - testosterone in breastmilk is not going to
make much difference to the baby. The milk supply though is another matter
and I think Dr Hale would be the best person to ask here.
However.... I'll bet they said she wasn't to breastfeed because of the Depo
- the enclosed leaflet saying it shouldn't be given within the first 6
weeks postpartum and the usual precaution with breastfeeding mothers which
isn't worth the paper it's written on.
Sorry - a bit cynical today.
