The discussion about a venture capital company who is aiming to supply
hospitals with human milk after industrial processing of large amounts of
pooled donor milk, is bound to engage this list. Some respected people in
our field are involved on the medical advisory board. Please make sure that
your posts are based on verifiable fact when naming persons or entities.
When discussing the principles involved in such an initiative as this, there
can be no requirement for facts, because we will be expounding our opinions.
It is entirely possible to do this in a way that does not compromise the
poster or the list, as has been shown by several thoughtful posts on the
ethical dilemmas presented by getting a commercial entity involved in the
provision of mothers' milk. Please continue to show such manners and
respect for the value of free expression (and that pun was very much
intended).
