My husband had a nagging viral infection in one eye for over two years.
It was quite painful, and prescription antivirals could only hold it at
bay for a while before wearing off. When my second child was born, I
pumped six ounces for him every morning, for twelve weeks (mid-April
through mid-July). He would pour a spoonful into his eye and drink the
rest. Not only did it completely clear up his infection, which has not
recurred ten months later, but he had no seasonal allergy symptoms that
spring :)
