There is quite a lot more detail at
http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/GE0504/S00029.htm

This is not a report of a peer-reviewed article, but this researcher's
announcement of his upcoming public lecture and new collaborative
research program.

In which Grove appears to be saying merely that women who are
overweight and/or diabetic are more likely to have children who are
overweight/diabetic - not exactly news, is it? What this proves about
dietary intake during breastfeeding is unclear to me; there's a leap of
reasoning here that is not explained.
