I have been seeing a mom who had quite a large blood loss during delivery, but no transfusion. She is anemic, with poor milk supply. I am wondering if anyone on this list has seen an anemic mother whose supply rebounded over time with frequent feeding?
Mom has a history of depression, and is on Prozac. No untoward effects have been seen in the baby. She is not a good candidate for Reglan due to her depression. She is going to begin taking Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle today.
Thanks,
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
