The WIC BF person could make it a practice to go around to each hospital in
her area every mo or two. See the maternal child supervisor and the chief
NICU doc and give them a copy of the latest "hot" article or something
useful.
I've been trying to give a pertinent BF piece at each ped meeting
(bi-monthly) and as soon as I get a minute the NICU doc is going to get the
Schandler article WITH Dr Nancy's analysis and copy of her letter to Peds J.
(if that is OK with her :-) I have the new CDC booklet to give to the docs.
Last meeting I had the newest AAP statement. I've used the neat handouts
from MA BF coalition on BF first few days and first few weeks. There always
is something! Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
