I too am hearing stories of mastitis that won't go away and turn out to be
MRSA. Seems like more and more areas have outbreaks of MRSA. If mom is
pumping and the milk comes out in strings or clumps, or makes clumps in the
bottle, this is a bad sign. I have seen some women get c-section incision
infections and start into mastitis with it. Really bad stuff, some moms end
up back in the hospital too sick to get out of bed.
