In my understanding and opinion human milk is not meant to differ in fatcontent troughout a feed. As we can conclude from the mean contents of human milk human offspring is supposed to feed almost constantly. If milk is removed from the breast as frequent as is meant there won't be any form of ''standing milk'' in the breast and no fat will get the chance to seperate from the milk and adhese to the lining of milkducts.

Allthough I highly appreciate Hartman cs's work on milkproduction, becuase it enlarges my knowledge base, I think that that knowledge is only of use when breastfeedingmanagement is way off of nauture's (or creation's) intend.

I dare say that if breastfeeding was managed more like human blueprint suggests (continuing mother and child togetherness and frequent (as counted in minutes rathers than hours) nursing, almost most of ''normal'' all day breastfeedig problems would not exist. And this might be true for many early-born or tiny infants as well.

Warmly,

Gonneke
