The more I concentrated, the less let downs I felt. I got myself into
a real tizzy over this :-( I finally remembered to sit down with a glass of
something to drink, do my relaxation breathing and ignore the rest of the
world for a while. Voila! My problem was fixed :-)
This is something that has always concerned me personally. The only child I
have ever felt a let down with is my baby, and I only felt them until she
was about 6 months old. I never feel a let down. I know I am having them
because I see her swallowing with that "ahhh that's the stuff" look on her face.
And I see the milk pouring into the pump (just bought an Avent Isis for the
occasional pump and boy can I get the milk with that thing....way more than
with my Lactina...go figure). My LLL leader and others just furrow their
brows and shake their heads that I don't get a Let Down feeling. I know I don't
need to fix what isn't broken, but just wonder if this is a rarity, or if it
is more common than is discussed and if these moms could think they aren't
making milk because they don't "feel" the let down. Like I said, I never felt
a let down with the 3 other children....only with the baby...and don't know
what the difference was. When I did get the let down with her it was only a
fleeting tingle and it was gone. So go figure, everyone is different I guess.
lol.
