I have recently become aware of an organization and journal I thought
to bring to your attention. The Association for Research on Mothering,
which comes out of York University in Toronto, Canada, has a journal
(The Journal of the Assn for Research on Mothering) and several
conferences a year on various aspects of mothering. As far as I know
they have not done a conference on breastfeeding, but they have had
several articles in their twice a year journal on it.

For those interested in the many and varied aspects of mothering,
including breastfeeding, it is worth checking out. For those of you
looking for venues in which to publish research as well as other types
of writing, I suggest you look at their journal and submission
guidelines.
