I'm looking for helpful advice from anyone with good experience
breastfeeding a baby with a cleft of the soft palate.
Things I would like to hear about: whether bottle feeding or tube at the
breast seemed to work better, and any specific ways of giving bottles that
were better tolerated than others.
I have Wolf and Glass and have read their sections on cleft palate. I'd
love to hear from those of you who've had experience working with babies
with this kind of cleft, for some good anecdotes. Especially welcome would
be words of encouragement for a mother from someone who has seen this have a
happy ending for the breastfeeding.
Please reply to the list, unless of course it would compromise
confidentiality, in which case, please reply to me at [log in to unmask]
