Dear Veronica, the first that comes to mind is cigarette smoking, but that
may get the same sort of reaction as the car seat analogy. As cigarette
sales have gone down in US, the manufacturers have turned to selling cigs in
other cultures that aren't as concerned about smoking as we have become in
US.
It all takes time. The push for seat belts/baby car seats began abot 20 ish
years ago in US. My kids are 35-45 yo and we had no such devices back then.
Not as much traffic either and I didn't go out as much as moms do today.
Things evolve, just wait, it will happen in Argentina too. Sincerely, Pat
in SNJ
