It is unusual, isn't it?
And yet no 'odder' than the mothers many of us hear from every day
who *only* want the breast associated with food, and want to know
how to stop the baby 'just sucking for comfort', and the mothers who
have been told not to let their babies fall asleep at the breast
because they will get 'the wrong asociations.'
Either position is not seeing it from the baby's point of view, and
fails to appreciate that bf is a multi-sided relationship
consisting of a mother, her baby, plus food, drink and comfort.
