I was in a lactation intern program at a hospital and had to purchase
professional liability insurance for students, which I obtained
through Marsh Affinity Group Services, a service of Seabury & Smith,
1-800-503-9230, www.seaburychicago.com.

It was inexpensive (around $40 for a year), and it took them about two
weeks or so to get the certificate to me after receiving my
application. As I recall, it was difficult to get the correct
application online (those listed under student don't include lactation
consultant), but you can call and ask them to mail the appropriate
application to you.

Best wishes,

Lisa Mandell
