I am looking for some input from the members of the list who are also
midwives.  I have been asked to speak to a group of nurse (hospital birth)
and lay (home birth) midwives about "what's new in breastfeeding"  I
thought talking about the new AAP guidelines might be interesting.  To gear
it more to the needs of midwives I thought about "When is supplementing
needed? and how to support and protect breastfeeding when it is is ordered
by the ped".   I'm having trouble putting together a topic.  I think
because I am not familiar with the knowledge base or practice needs.  The
conference planner was pretty vague.  I'll ask some of my local collegues,
but I thought a wider group might have some insight.  Please email me
