Breastfeeding and allergy
A Perth Western Australia study of 1596 children followed from birth to 6
years found that for each month of exclusive breastfeeding there was a 4%
reduction in risk of asthma. Other allergies were identified by skin prick
tests, and they were also reduced by longer breastfeeding.
In this study there was no relationship between breastfeeding and overweight
