How on earth do women ever recover from cesareans if this were true?

If relaxin is "still in her body", I'd think this would be a good thing. It
would help her deal with the stresses of surgery and recover faster, right?
What is the effective difference between relaxin and the muscle-relaxing
drugs they give surgical patients? I can remember having a problem
recovering muscle tone after having a muscle-relaxing drug.
How urgent is the need for this surgery?
Is it possible the orthopedist is not familiar with "extended" BFing, i.e.
past 6 months of age?
Has he defined the term: "fast enough"? Has he explained the issues related
to NOT healing "fast enough"?

I told her to ask him for the reference he is

Good suggestion. How about a 2nd opinion?
