if I had a dollar for every time I've heard ..." there's no milk yet", ..."
I have no milk yet", ..."there's no milk coming out", ...."but it's just
the/only the colostrum", ........ or similar versions of those statements,
....... so, yes, I am so very often compelled to do as much "show and tell"
/
demonstrate proof, as much as is possible, assure and reassure, explaining
as
concisely as possible, about what I consistently tell new moms is there:
"Colostrum Breastmilk".

This is the reason I hear most as to why the baby was given aim during the
first 2 days of life.

With my last birth, my nurse midwife actually hand squirted some milk out of
my breast right in front of the neonatologist to show that I did indeed have
milk to feed my big baby (8lb12oz). I do wonder what if nothing had came
out---would that have made the case for supplementation in his mind?

Mama to 4 breastfed boys~~
Psalms 22:9 Yet you brought me out of the womb, you made me trust in you
even at my mother's breast.
