"The next morning at hour 18, I was experiencing full
leaking breasts. Makes me wonder if we all gave birth
in the way that Mother Nature intended, if it is
indeed "normal" to expereince an abundant milk supply
in less than 24 hours. Has anyone else had expereince
with this?"
Pam, my own experience was the same 20 hours after a
C-sec, 36 wks, go figure! I hear a variety of tales
from home birth to full-on-technical births. One
thing I've noticed is that the more "naive" moms
(count me in that category!) who haven't heard they
should "worry" about milk-making are often swimming in
milk. Not always, of course, but enough to make me
smile. (These seem to be the same women who haven't
heard they should time feeds, put baby down, sleep
alone, use gizmos, fret....)
