Laurie, a wise doctor once told me to never assume that *any* category of
health care professional knows about the basics of breastfeeding. I have
found this to be so true, so always include some anatomy and physiology
(plenty of new info there - eg from Hartmann). If introduced in a
non-threatening way this is a good foundation on which to 'latch' other
information. We have to know how things work in order not to put a spanner
in the works or to fix a malfunction.
