Hi Kathleen
Here are some suggestions:
1. Reward or grant of some kind for achieving Baby Friendly status. Maybe a
contest w/i the state or region. If there are no BFHI facilities, then offer
$$$ to the first who achieves it. I had suggested this before to our local
Ilca affiliate becoz I thought it would get several hospitals competing and
making positive changes and the administrators would learn more about it.
Any changes in the bf climate helps all LCs in my opinion so I thought it
was a great way to spend some of our money. No takers though.
2. Donations to ILCA, WIC, LLL, or Naba, etc
3. Many more ads for ad campaign
4. IBCLC or WBW events - in a big way - more media attention
5. Donations to existing milk banks or places where more need to be
established.
that's all for now.
