On the same thread of a baby with fussiness and not tolerating foods mom
eats. Yesterday a mother or a 12 week old shared that at 3 weeks she herself
took lactase enzymes on recommendation of a friend who found it helpful.
Here's her story with permission to post. She had a fussy baby without blood
in the stools. The mother is not lactose intolerant but her baby was very
fussy so starting at 3 weeks she took 3 super lactase enzyme capsules
(recommended for people who are lactose intolerant) before each meal. In 5
days the baby was less fussy and after 14 days was lots better. At 12 weeks
she is still taking the enzymes because she is "afraid to not take the
enzymes" due to possibility of the baby fussing again. Apparently it was
quite a change.
Has anyone heard of only a mother taking the enzymes? Thanks, Mary Ann RN,
