Why is boiling milk to make a thicker substance out of it so terrible? Of course boiling will destroy many nutrients. But I don't presume that this boiled milk serving will be all the child gets to eat. And choosing between cereals with ABM or regular cow's milk or on the other hand with part of mom's frozen stock I'd opt for the last. Boiling doesn't make milk bad, just lowers the quality.
If mom has a frozen stock and wants to feed it to her baby why not be creative. And if a mom wants to feed cereals (which is the part that I wouldn't recommend, because I don't see that as a major step in the feeding development) then why not use her frozen stock? Better cooked than thrown away.
And BTW, raw human milk does not thicken unless heated to destroy the carbo-eating enzymes.

Warmly,

I agree Dianne, I spent some time on the site and agree lots of the
information is very short and incomplete. I was shocked under the
Breastmilk Recipes section to see that for baby's first cereal the Breast
milk needed to be boiled. This would certainly damage many of the
immunological properties of BM and could lead to possible burning of baby.
I think this gal's heart is in the right place but perhaps she should put
some more time into getting her information correct and more polished.
