Well put, Susan; thanks for the reminder! Sometimes I'll think about
things that people -- teachers, coworkers, classmates, people in
restaurants who I didn't even know -- did or said a long time ago that
affected me, and I'm sure those people have no idea they are being
remembered by me (if they even remember *me*!).
So we never know how long our remarks will endure or how far away our
teaching will travel. And who knows -- even if we feel like
we're "failing" with a particular mom today, maybe breastfeeding will work
for her next time, or maybe she'll be in a better position to support her
friends, sisters, or daughters someday.
