I remember a LLL leaders meeting I attended. All experienced breastfeeding moms, ofcourse, and all experienced in counseling. One leader had her about 1 yo with her. He looked terrible, nursed up and down throughout the day, never left mom, did not crawl nor walk. During the meeting no-one said anything about it outload, but inbetween it was the topic of the day. At last at the end of the day someone, I think of the Leader Dept, had her in an aside and talked to her in private. Mom did go to see a doc afterwards, was send to the hospital and the child appeared to have a metobolistic disorder that made it very difficult for him to metabolise iron from his diet.
Warmly,
Gonneke,
