I agree. Much as I wish every clinical question received a bevy of answers on this list, I also believe that one of the benefits of being a"young" profession is that we still debate the political aspects of our vocaton, as we have not yet crystalized our views into a narrow zone of safe compromises. Further, I work very hard both to care for families and to promote breastfeeding and LC's, but I don't want to have to work so hard against governments and corporations and ill-conceived public policies. If we cannot address these topics, I think we will sink easily into that zone of compromise I refuse to enter.
