Breastfeeding to 6 months and solids
Guidelines are only guidelines. Some people take everything literally.
Some babies may be given solids 1 week before turning 6 months. Others a
week later. as far as statistical reporting goes one may be classed as
breastfeeding at 6 months and the other not and yet the one reported as
not is in comparison to the baby who has regular solids since 4 months of
age.. To make it more difficult one baby may be given a spoon or 2 of food
at 6 months or around six months and then may not be interested again to
take solids regularly for another month. How would this be reported?
