Hi,
This response is regarding the Certified Breastfeeding Counselor Course that
is given by Prepared Childbirth Educators. I took that course two years ago &
it was the best way for me to start preparing for my journey to become a
IBCLC, which I passed the exam October 2004.
This was a very well organized course. It put me in my position as an acting
Lactation Coordinator, as at that point in time our hospital had no-one for
almost 6 months.
Breastfeeding had really gone to the wayside, sadly enough.
I have encouraged some of the staff nurses to take that course. Only one RN
is interested so far.
If anyone has any other questions feel free to e-mail me.
Thank You for your time,
Elaine Miranda RN, IBCLC,RLC
