Lyla: My name is Cathy Urroz de Arce, from Guadalajara, México. I
remember a couple of years ago on lactnet, there was anecdotal information
that someone offered in regards to this situation of bloody stols in a
breastfed baby even with elimination diet, specifically elimination of
dairy. And the person who posted on this said that whta had worked for
some moms was eliminating beef also, since the protein of dairy and beef
is of the same animal. I´ve had qute a few mom´s with symptoms such as
you describe and it has helped them to eliminate beef as well as dairy,
and also what´s been helpful for them is to pump or manually express a
couple of ounces of breast milk before putting baby to breast. I hope
this could be helpful, as well as all other suggestions you have
received. This mom is lucky to have you as a support person! Hello to
all, I usually just lurk, but I want you to know I love being on lactnet
and I learn a lot from all!!!!!!!!!!!!! Warmly, Cathy Urroz de Arce,
LLLeader and IBCLC, from Guadalajara, Jalisco, México
