Dear friends,
I do not have a direct answer to this specific GERD question, but I have a concern which I would like to share.
I notice a trend in pediatricians (as reported by mothers and midwifes) to have children with GERD start solids (vegetable purees) as early as 6-8 weeks. Plus ''ofcourse'' heavy medication and a restriction in feeds at breast.
Does anyone (from other parts of the world) recognise this trend and does anyone know or guess the rational behind the veggies at 6 weeks?
Warmly greeting,
Gonneke,
Dutch IBCLC, living in Germany, teaching in Belgium
