It was either Greg White or Herb Ratner who said many years ago that most
spitting up was a laundry problem, not a breastfeeding problem.  As long as
the infant doesn't seem stressed, is gaining well, and has no other
problems, I wouldn't be too upset with it.  I had a friend many years ago
with a child that always spit up after every feeding.  If she tried to cut
him short, he got very upset.  That's when I coined the phrase "giving a
refund" after each feeding.  Once she accepted it and always kept a towel or
cloth diaper handy to catch it, there was no problem.  I suspect it might
make public breastfeeding a little more challenging however.
