"Emergency Contraception - IUD within 5 days after sex or pill with estrogen
and progestin taken within 72 hours after sex; short term method
Number of women (out of 100) who get pregnant in one year using it the usual
way: 1-2
Is it safe to use while breastfeeding? Yes for IUD; pills may delay or
prevent milk production
Does it protect against sexually transmitted infections? No
Do you need to see a health care provider to use it? Yes"
