Has anyone ever worked with a mother who reports vomiting associated with breastfeeding? I received a call today from a mother of a 1 1/2 week old, and each time she nurses or pumps, she becomes nauseous and vomits. She is quite discouraged and tearful because this happened with her first baby, and she quit nursing at 1 month. I searched the archives to no avail; also couldn't find any reference to this in my textbooks. I'm thinking it's related to hormones, and hopefully will improve after a few weeks. Has anyone else seen or heard of this? Thanks so much! Linda
