I saw a presentation on the On-Q though I had forgotten what it was called
at the Society of University Surgeons (a drug co sponsored lunch! but took
it all with a grain of salt). They've used in lots of different surgical
procedures and seems to be a great way for continuous local pain relief.
No increase in infection either -- I vaguely remember a decrease in
infection due to the antiinfective properties of the anesthetic itself.
