My vote is for Miriam Labbock, who is now with UNICEF. Is anyone here with
ILCA who can discuss any ILCA lobbying efforts in this regard? Other
wonderful people to suggest are any of the members of the AAP Workgroup on
Breastfeeding. According to the 1997 policy statement from the AAP, the
members of the work group at that time were Lawrence Gartner, Linda Sue
Black, Antoinette Eaton, Ruth Lawrence, Audrey Naylor, Marianne Neifert,
Donna O'Hare, and Richard Schanler. According to a recent & lovely Lactnet
post on Ruth Lawrence, Dr. Lawrence is also well-known for her work in
poison control.
