A New York Times articles on different medical opinions on babies
crying/colic (with a nice plug for Dr. Karp) implied that in all
cultures a certain number of babies will have these long, unexplained
crying jags. I was under the impression that in certain cultures,
babies cry very little. Could someone with more international
experience comment. Even in cultures where babies are in close contact,
breastfeeding frequently etc., do a certain percentage of babies show
such distressing behavior?
