As an alternative to purposely decreasing milk supply at this early time,
what about proposing donating the extra milk to a milk bank, perhaps as a
way of extending a helping hand to moms in her position who aren't blessed
with such a good supply, or as a memorial tribute to the two children of
this pregnancy who did not survive?
We know breastmilk supply tends to wane over time with these babies who have
an extended stay in the NICU--perhaps this early oversupply may serve her
and other lucky recipient babies in a way that purposely bringing volume
down would not.
