Kiwanians launch infant formula project
The Kiwanis Club of Oak Harbor is sponsoring an ongoing project that helps
the smallest children in our area.
The project involves raising funds to help families that reside in Ottawa
County purchase infant formula.
The Young Children/Priority One Committee, chaired by Kiwanian Julie
Weyandt, has named this project " Bottles For Babies"
The Kiwanis members have placed several plastic baby bottles tagged,
"Bottles For Babies," at several area businesses, including ... [I've
deleted these]
According to Weyandt, the need is great. Low income families are only
receving half the funds to purchase baby formula due to cuts to the health
department's WIC funding.
